The North Carolina Community Engagement Alliance attended the 46th Annual Minority Health Conference hosted by the Minority Student Caucus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This conference is the largest and longest student led health conference in the United States. NC CEAL was proud to have attended this event as both an exhibitor and with poster presentations.
NC CEAL Outreach
During the conference, we were able to reach the hundreds of attendees and inform them of our mission to address food as a driver of health in the state. We informed them of our initiatives, shared ways to engage further and our latest swag items.

NC CEAL Disseminating Research
Two NC CEAL staff members, Jessica Roe and Courtney McMillian, and one NC CEAL coalition member, Patricia Peele, presented posters at the conference. The research represented was focused on our prior work in Long COVID and providing information and support to providers in rural communities. This research also represented our work in identifying trusted sources of health information and specifying the challenges certain communities find when truing to find information that is comprehensive and intelligible. Both projects were accomplished with the collaborative efforts of several coalition members.
